i'm one autograph away and i have some questions
hi guys, ive owned a Yj for the last 4 years and simply fed up with the ongoing fix it issuses.
long story short, come tomorrow i might factory order one.
the down side, i dont entirely know what a "bare bones" X model is.
the options i want are the rear locker, and 4:11
any basics you can recommend?
what wheels does it come with?
http://my.project-jk.com/data/555/medium/drivers.JPG
those ones?
does it come with full metal doors and a soft top?
are half doors and soft uppers an option?
and lastly, if you have any black JK X's model pictures... POST EM UP!!!

as far as options are concerned that's totally up to you. the rear locker and 4.10 gears are both orderable options. the wheels on the basic 2dr X are 16" styled steel wheels. full doors with soft top is standard. half doors are not an option on the 2dr X with B package, but are an option with the C or S packages. all of this info and more is on jeep.com.
there's plenty of pictures of black jeeps if you search the forum or go to http://my.project-jk.com/index.php

Not every Jeep owner is an old gnarled woodsman-type that wants a no-frills, hard-as-nails, decontented tank... that was my grandfather (RIP), not me. The way you're talking is reminiscent of the way some of the old-timers were talking when the TJ was released... or, for that matter, the YJ. To each their own, but there ARE buyers for such "luxury" features as A/C and Power Windows/Locks.
If even the most basic, no-frills model is too much luxury for you, then you can rip out the carpeting and replace the seats with cinder blocks or something. Oh - but leave the stock headrests - you'll like those for sure!
