Thanks, everybody, for the welcome...very kind of all of you.

I just found this...this is a pic of my '99 TJ taken in Texas about 12 years ago.

I guess that would be a crack at my age, huh? LOL That's cool...I'm 45 and proud, brother!!

For all the younger viewers, that's what a video camera "used" to look like back in the 90's.

Not at you Chief, that was for the youngsters around here (I'm 52).

I started out on BetaMax then switched to VHS. Still trying to figure out what Blue Ray is.

Welcome to the forum Chief. You may want to consider NOT lifting it since it's a Rubicon and already has goodies that you will have to remove if you lift it. Also, if you love the way it drives now, it will not drive/handle the same after the lift. You can still run 35's and be OK.

Having said that...If the look of your JK is more important than how it rides, or if you are going to do some extreme wheeling, you will need a lift. Just remember, the higher the lift, the angles are more extreme and it will impact your stock jeep parts (more wear on U-joints, bumpsteer, etc.) There's a lot of info on the forum on which kits to use and reviews of those kits.

Anyways, drive it a little bit before you dive into the big mods and do lots of research. There's nothing worse that getting into your awesome looking, newly lifted Jeep and having bumpsteer or repeatedly going into limp-mode and not knowing why.
