Talking I'm addicted!!

I got my jeep at the end of October I've only been wheelin with it once and I NEED more. I am debating whether or not to get a credit card and get my mods underway, I have no cash but don't feel like waiting anymore. I never knew I would like it this much. Thanks to this website I will definately go broke(that is a good thing!)

i would suggest waiting. Man mods are great and fun but its not fun paying for the Jeep AND paying for a few grand on a credit card. You may think "o only a part or two" but it adds up quickly. A lift means bigger tires, which means better gears, then you want bumpers, then a winch, then lockers, then engine mods because your jeep is piss ass slow from moving all the weight around.

Best thing to do is check the For Sale threads for deals, wait for big sales on 4x4 websites or any kind of truck/offroad shows for good deals. Also its a good practice to try and have the amount of money saved that you are about to spend so you can pay it off the bill ASAP. Now that can be hard to do but i atleast always half saved of what I am going to buy so i can pay it off quickly.

I'd caution to keep things in perspective. The base X JK is a very capable vehicle. I'd avoid spending a lot of credit card money for mod's. All that does is increase the price of already expensive mod's by the interest you pay.

I say the same thing, Mods are already expensive and most cards are 19% or more. Mark D is also very right he has a 4dr and went wheeling with us a couple weeks ago and went everywhere us 2dr guys went, I think his son is a much better driver also... I don't know where he learned to drive so good but I don't think from his dad , just kidding Mark. I never saw Mark drive because he was taking all the pics...great pics Mark

I agree, after seeing what Mark Doiron's stock X can do - no need to go in debt just to look cool. You'll get there eventually.

You were almost in trouble, but I'm a forgiving guy. I just hope Curtis doesn't see this thread. Because he's a teenager, he knows everything already. And, all of you out there with younger kids: Your turn is coming!

Come on we are guys, do we really get out of the phase of where we know everything? . Mark, when we up panty hill I wished someone else was there to drive my JK up, but I made it. I'm proabably the only one that can stand to drive my JK with the stock gears...lol. Doc turn sideways on the hill halfway up and slide a little bit.

charge up the cards and get what you want now, you could die tomorrow, so enjoy it today and pay later....something will come up.

I charged a bunch of my mods....and low and behold I got an unexpected $5K Christmas bonus and a 11.5% raise this past week. My mods are now paid for...sweet.

Of course if you got a shitty job or no career...then maybe the cards aren't such a good idea....maybe. lol.

I'm tired of waiting. I found a 10% off year end sale and charged my wheels today on cc. I got free shipping too. Now I will have to save for the tires since I'm still paying on the bumper,LOL

I was starting to think I was the only one that thought like that. If it keeps snowing like this I'll have everything paid by the spring.
