If you find the guys who did this, let me know!
Well, I went out to eat last night and unfortunately someone felt the need to slice my rear passenger window and break into my jeep...
My wife and I were walking out of the restaurant and saw someone walk out from between my jeep and the suv next to me and get in a car that was waiting for him. We thought that looked a little strange, but wasn't really sure what was going on. I looked at the two young guys who drove by and then continued walking toward my jeep. As we got closer, I noticed the window on the other side was pulled back. I immediately took off running after the car that had drove off. Before I could get close enough to get the tag number, they realized what I was doing and left in a hurry. Pissed off isn't the word! I was looking for anything near me (hoping for a brick) and wanted to hurl it through their back window.
Anywho, if you see a 2 door gold sunfire with two young guys...please feel free to run them off the road. Thanks! The funny thing was, he sliced my window in about three places and still couldn't get it off very well. He ended up ripping the fabric above the zipper and got it back far enough to reach into the vehicle. Nothing was taken, but he sure did make a mess of all the stuff I had in the jeep. Any jeep person could remove that window in about 30 seconds....so had to be an amateur. Maybe I should quit my job and feed off all the other people who work for a living. That seems to be what people think as the holiday season arrives. Why not do as other countries and start cutting off fingers, hands, or arms when you steal something...wouldn't that work?????
I'm still pissed off....... Just be careful when you park somewhere from now on!
If anyone has an extra rear passenger window for a 2-door, please let me know!!! For now, duck tape is getting me by.
Thanks!

i am sorry to hear that, that rat bastard.. did you have anything in the jeep like wires to electronics or expensive store bags or something?? i always get nervous when somebody walks by my jeep, in fear for them if they should try to do something..
and during the holiday season too.. people just don't appreciate anything anymore.

So very sorry man. that blows!--I will sign your petition regarding the public amputation penalty for petty theives. Let me know when you draft one up--Karma is a grey haired B I T C H--they will get their comeuppance----on a lighter note, try tohave a Merry Christmas-and you may use this opportunity to have your insurance company replace your top with a new slant back

had the same thing happen in my last truck
yeah i hear ya with the being pissed off part. i had a nice stereo in my truck a few years back and some punk came and smashed out my window and ripped it out of my dash. soooo freaking mad. i wish i would have happened to come outside when they were doing it. my truck had a walmart tested grille guard on there and i would have ran them off of the road.

I had a similar break-in - but I was even more surprised!
I was at a fest in my own neighborhood and had the top off my jeep. My girlfriend told me to lock the doors as it would keep someone from getting in - I laughed and told her all they would have to do is jump in from the back.
Sure enough - she locked her door and I did not. Someone opened my door, sat in the jeep with the door closed, broke the handle off the glove-box, which I had locked, and then took a screwdriver to it. They did not get it open but they damaged both the glovebox and the dash.
I found out two neighbors had seen the entire thing but thought nothing of it as he opened the door, climbed in and acted like he owned it......makes me wish I took the time to get to know those neighbors before hand!
Moral of the story - it is best to keep the jeep unlocked....but if someone wants something bad enough they will get it. Locks keep ameteurs out and only complicates things for the professionals!
P.S. I still hear shit from the girlfriend about how she was right - she's right once in four years and she won't shut up!

Sorry to hear
I have a set thats scratched. and you can have it for the shipping price.
I really don't know what we all can learn from this. It's like if you park your Jeep in your garage, someone will still break into it! I guess it's tempting
