If Jeeps were gone....
I was thinking, if all of the Jeeps in the world were gone (either never made or all "raptured" up to Jeep heaven) what would you use to go wheeling?
I always liked the VW Thing or a VW powered dune buggy.
I guess Suzuki Samuri's and Hummers are altenatives.
Any others?

no question for me, i used to have a samurai (known as an SJ410/413 depending on engine here) as my first vehicle and loved it to bits till it self combusted, but now i would have a swb defender to play with

I would go with the Suzuki Samuri if I was going to wheel hard.
If I was looking for a daily driver and a once in the while trail ride, I would get the Hummer or the Toyota FJ.

I think I'd wheel a 1985 Toyota 4runner or an early 80's toy pickup. They work great, are tough as nails and when you double up the t-cases, they crawl over anything.
