I think my gf loves my Jeep more than she loves me.
Me: "Baby, I'm going to run this by you for the 10th time. Our long distance relationship is making owning a Jeep ridiculously expensive; it's not a commuter. If you get over the darn thing and let me sell it, that'll free up dollars to do fun things, such vacations and plan better for our "future."
Her: Don't sell the Jeep I love that thing.
Me: Do you understand what I'm saying when I say future? You want that expensive ring some time, right? Well, shoot. I'm a single full time dad and if I'm going to make things happen with you I have to get more economical and lose the Jeep. It'll be good for us.
Her: You're not selling your Jeep. I love like I'd love my own child.
Me: Will you get over the Jeep?! It's just a vehicle.
Her: If you sell your Jeep you better have something small and shiny from Tiffany's from me.
Me: No, but seriously.
Her: Um... I'm serious. If you sell your Jeep you're buying me a ring from Tiffany's.
I call her 10 minutes later:
Me: So, I was thinking about our future, our incomes etc, and I think we can work things out if we plan right. About the Jeep...
Her: Stop talking about the Jeep. Keep it or sell it and buy me a ring from Tiffany's.
Me: Oh, you weren't um, like, kidding around and sh$%?
Her: Nope. Jeep or a ring from Tiffany's. Your choice.
Hmm... Let's see. Keep Jeep= I'll have the girl AND the Jeep.
Sell the Jeep= I'll have the girl but no Jeep.
It seems like a no brainer, but I'm serious about this girl and I want to move forward with her, but she's not a cheap woman at all. I guess that's why she likes the Jeep though.

Agreed... I could not stand being with a chick like that. Sounds corny but I'm glad to have a girlfriend that loves me for me. Not the things I own or the things I can give her. If you're happy then that's all that matters of course. Do whatever you feel is right! Goodluck
