I sold my Jeep
Goodbye fellow Jeepers
I sold my Jeep, and I'm very sad
I was pissed off about all the issues I had since one year:
- Broken trac bar brackets (rear and front)
- Broken front axle
- ESP and CPU issues
- rear disks changed 2 times in four months
- TC cable broken
- Transmission changed (and still pop up shifter to neutral)
- backup lights (changed, and never worked well after)
- sway bar disco motor (changed and nerver worked well after)
- door hinge bushings changed and still broken after
- many electrical issues, etc etc
I did only normal wheeling (never intense off-roading)
I sold all the mods, and Chrysler Canada gave me a credit for all the money I lost.
I liked this Jeep, but I didn't have the choice to get rid of it.
I have more projects, but not now. I want to wait a few month and think about it.
Goodbye my friends
Au revoir mes amis

I know where you are. Mine is used, so won't get the Lemon benefit, but it has had 4 fairly significant repairs in the 6 monts I have owned it and is now down (so far for two weeks) due to loss of reverse. This Jeep was never off-roaded that showed before I bought it and only once when I got it. Even that was more trailing than off-roading.
I love my Jeep, but she is going to be an expensive mistress, so I think she too will be going away soon.

So Long! Can't say I blame you, that's a lot you went thru. Thing is if ever you decide to try again you could wind up with a good like mine. Believe it or not, I have a neighbor with a FJ and he's at his wit's end.
