wow, i must have some super strength windshield. original on an 07, counted 10 chips and 0 cracks. plenty of I-10 driving between florida, louisiana, and texas and lots of offroading.

state of florida requires by law that insurance replace, not repair cracked windshields, so $0 deductable and wont affect premium.

I have Allstate also and they said they can't do anything for me. My deductable is $500.

The $0 deductible is great, BUT it probably won't affect your premium for now. Somebody, somewhere, sometime has to pay for it. After all we are taking about an Insurance Company.

My buddy said he can get me a windshield at cost and knows someone else to put in for less than a glass shop. Going to wait till they sweep all the gravel off the roads before i get the new one.

So would a chip or two cause an inspection to fail? Does it have to be a huge crack before they say no way?
