Default I need some advice

Ok so I have/had a 2011 jku Sahara. As far as mods go 3.5" lift, 35" tires, flat fenders, a trussed front axle with synergy ball joints and rcv shafts, cold air intake, home made Offroad bumpers front and rear with tire carrier, winch with synthetic line.
Ok now here's the problem their was a fire at my shop, the jeep was in the shop it looks like a total loss and I expect to get a new one or some thing

Here's the dilemma I don't know what I should be looking for as a replacement. I got stuck with the jeep that I had but I accepted it and learned to love it. I liked heated seats, the body coloured fenders, the Bluetooth feature and the nice interior. I was not pleased with the 3.8 but i was planning on doing an engine swap anyways so the crappy engine didn't matter so much to me.

I'm just not sure what year I should go for or if I should get a rubicon or an x I'm so confused on what I want.

Sounds like you have grown a custom to the creature comforts of the Sahara trim. Depending on your budget it might be an option to look in to getting a rubi.

It's a tough decision....

Can you salvage any of the aftermarket parts? Ball joints, truss, ect? If you have the cash to do an engine swap why not get an X and build it? That would make more sense to me...

That sucks about the jeep.

It probably looks worse than it is being that your jeep never really burned aside from the grill. Everything else looks more melted. It probably got hot enough that it could have destroyed the electronics.

If I was planning ahead to do an engine swap I would go buy a used x put in the engine you want upgrade the axles to 60s. You could use the lift and bumpers maybe shocks.

Or

Just buy a new grill, lights, mirrors, fenders and a paint job. Probably leaving a few things out.

Well insurance company hasn't looked at it yet so I'm not sure what I can get for it.
And I don't expect to be able to get any of the parts off as its all pretty well cooked.

Sorry to hear about your fire and burnt up jeep. As far as doing things over, I would have waited to get my hands on a Rubi with 4.10's and then i would be set with the axle and locker work since I don't plan to go beyond 35's. I knew nothing about the differences between a Sahara and a Rubi when I bought the Sahara. I wheeled a Xj and a YJ previously, but did not read up on forums about the JK until I test drove my used Sahara.

Now that I have it though, I'm OK with it and it still surprises me offroad.
