I have a theory about why Rubi's are always so shiney:

"comparing them to vettes or cadys is just wrong. i see more x's shiney around me the clean rubi's"
Tell that to the people who treat their Rubi's like fragile 'Vettes and Caddy's. I think the majority of people who buy them don't like the idea of banging them up. I guess a Rubi is more like a Land Rover.

btw most people tend to take "poser pics" of their Jeeps when they are clean -- doesn't mean they don't get them dirty IMO

I think you're misinterpreting my tone, which isn't your fault it's easy to do when reading threads. I think the shiny Rubi thing is unique to strange areas like mine where people don't wave, etc. Most people with convertible Porsches, for example, leave their tops up even when the weather outside is absolutely perfect, which leaves me thinking "Why did you spend the extra coin on a convertible?" In my area, Rubi's are in that category. They're always shiny and driven by a soccer mom or some dude in a suit. It's a Land Rover essentially.

What's wrong with having a clean Jeep, I don't get it? When my Jeep gets muddy I wash it. Hell, I even Amorall the tires. I spent a lot of money on it and want to keep it looking nice.
Just because a Jeep is clean doesn't mean it never gets dirty.
