Default I have a pool of battery acid in the "trunk" dip thingy in the back of my JK.

Thought it was water. Put the wet items on the middle row of seats. Next day the upholstery was all eaten away and crap...total mess. The pool of battery acid is still there after over a week. What do I do to get rid of it?

I had a battery back there that must've leaked. Thoughts?

Wipe it up ith paper towels and then use Baking soda and water solution to help neuutralize the acid.

I'd be careful just wiping it up with paper towels. You don't want that acid on your skin either. Use some kitty litter to soak it up. Follow up with baking soda to neutralize the rest.

Oh man what a shame.......sure sorry to hear about the seats. Yes....the baking soda/water solution should do the trick. Then you may have to repaint as well as it will probably start to rust depending on how much the acid ate into the paint.

neutralize first then clean, or be really careful cleaning.
