I don't think the distance is the issue. unless it's like 200 feet away which will normally not happen in a random parking lot.

I have the same issue. and Installed a rear camera just incase something like this happens.

and seriously if you don't want all that monitor/camera setup

just get that sticker. and make sure it's big enough so that it flashes in peoples eyes.

walking around is a good habit. I don't do it, I would get carried away by looking at my Jeep....It's true...

If it is a driveway you are parking on, back in. That way when you leave, you are facing forward and can properly set your line with your tires.

same thing happened to me at the car wash, I didn't see a brand new VW that was behind me, it was from the show room at the dealership and they were getting it washed
