I had a 08 x with 3.73 auto now I have a 12 3.73 stick. I like the extra power. The stick changes things but it even sounds better. Haha no nocking the 3.8 I never had any issues auto issues yes temp but I always had fun in it.

No it can't........ and I wish I waited a few more months and got the 2012 now

The pentastar is just a fabulous engine. Anyone who says different is plain jealous.

I'm very satisfied with the overall performance of my 2011 2Dr. Automatic. I'm also averaging 17 mpg Hwy/City. (here in Florida)

I think my 6spd 3.8L with 3:73 gear has plenty of snap passing semi's and travel trailers on single lane highway and climbing mountain passes. It gets great fuel economy avg. 20MPG with bumpers, lift, winch and bigger. The pentastar sounds great but not worth the spank I would take on trade-in with all the mods I have done. The wife likes the new 2012 interior and motor but when I mentioned with the difference in trade and taxes... that the lost money I will just add new gears and RIPP supercharger! She likes the SC idea!

if i can just expand this thread a little i must say...

i read these threads all the time about how the 3.8 is no use...
how they can't make highway speeds...how they can't merge...

i have come to the conclusion that it's all different in the US...
that the culture of driving is different because of BIG MOTORS...

i'm guessing that people drive with more spirit in america...
and that means more acceleration and more speed...

because in my 3.8 2dr i'm always first off the ramp...
i'm always first up to 70mph...
i always 'pop' all the cars in front and hit the fast lane first...
and i'm in the auto...which does slow me down a bit...

i've never really got this '3.8 is rubbish' deal...
it's not a sportscar...it's a Jeep...and it's not that slow imho ...
I have to agree. Also, I've never had issues merging? And I went from a Mitsubishi Eclipse GT to a Jeep so I mean that took some adjustment but still
