Default Huge problem

I I posted earlier that I almost hydro locked the motor and was getting a clicking noise. Took it to jeep to get it looked at and they said i prob cracked the cylinder and the housing and ect. They want to to do a full block repair. 7 grand. Any ideas

Sounds like its time for the Hemi upgrade I know Im kidding!!! That really sucks!

7 grand is definately enough for a hemi upgrade. Im assuming that if they want that much then you arent covered by a warranty?

There's stock low-milage JK engines for sale leftover from Hemi installs. Try the local Jeep places first before searching further afield. River Raider probably a good call as they would install it also if u need.

Hemi installs are $15-20k. At least 7+ for the engine and transmission, 3 for the wiring harness and parts, and rest for the labor etc.

Tell them you want to see the jeep service rep. If you still have a warranty it should be covered.

Either find another motor from a wrecked jeep or someone who swapped the Hemi, or just do the Hemi. If you're mechanically convident it can be done for under 10g's. Ill take that upgrade for a few dollars more all day.

sorry to hear this happened though. If nothing else your insurance should cover it.

They said no warranty because of hydro lock
