It's time to mount a flag to my jk. I'd like to see some simple ideas of how yours is mounted. Here's what I'm thinking.. behind the tail light on the tire carrier there is a hole that goes straight down to the bumper. A flag pole would easily fit in there, but how to secure it? Maybe zip tie it to the tail light? The only issue I see there is the shaft for the light is kind of wide, so a zip tie may not get tight enough on the flag pole to hold it in place? Also if I were to place my flag here, what size pole would I need? I was looking at these:

they have 4, 6, and 8ft poles. I like the look of the large 3x5 flags, would I need the 8ft pole?

I don't like the look of the hitch mount.

 

I got a mount used to mount a flag to a home or the like and zip tied it to my receiver, then zip tied the pole to the rear gate. It was very solid. Did 75 + with no problems.

 

I plan on buying a flag soon & mounting it on my hilift jack & just taking off the rotopax mount & use those screws if they fit
