I bought my Jeep in Arizona, drove it back to Nor-cal and then put my XDI Intake in that night!

Careful with the XDI and water, though...

A.) Thanks to all. Took delivery Friday, had to go straight to work after, what a b*tch especially since it was probably the nicest spring day yet (read: wanted to call out sick, eject hard top and go sick with new toy).

B.) How do you like XDI, I have had K&N and was fine with it on my GMC, went XDI this time thinking it would be safer with the water situation with the way it is designed. I have also played with the idea of creating some kind of water baffle / splash deflector with PVC or Tubing when around water. I know the only safe thing to do is a snorke but I am not interested in that in any way.

BTW for those interested in lecturing me about air intakes and snorkels, pick one of the other billion threads that pertains. Trolling and baiting is for fishing. Doing it in forums is for little boys who don't own Jeeps, or act like it anyway.

Again thanks to those who stay on track and contribute helpfully.

Thank you for the compliment.

To be honest after 8 months of waiting we were almost numb to it and didn't think aboot it much while we were out of town. Now once we got back into town, that's a different story.

Complement was required, very nice. I ordered mine with the specs I wanted and wondered if they would actully EVER build it . "You know who" said he would, then decided he woulded bail out our friends at Chrystler.

What, 6000 Chrysler jobs don't matter but 6 billion GM jobs do? He changed his mind on a dime, in about 3 days as I recall, bacause they had a plan (discussions with Fiat).

Personally I think that was not fair pool. I also think that that rapist from Home Depot (CEO) didn't help by his reputation for giving himself money while the company and investers stock plumet, as well as being anti-American labor wise. I for one am getting a tad bit tired of that crap.

Thanks again.

I noticed that, thanks. I get frusterated when people try to tell me how "technically wrong I am" about performance mods and that I should do my homework. Seriously, aren't there about a billion threads about this.

Obviosly there is no lack of opions on how to spend my money and what I know about it etc. but I really only wanted a technical point of view. Do it now is fine, why and why do you know this?

It gets so old when people say air intake, exhaust and chip are a waste of money (it's mine btw) when clearly they don't comprehend. I said when, not should I.
