How soon would you mod a brand new JK

I respectfully disagree - wait at least 2000 miles for your JK's CPU to "learn" your driving style, and for the engine to break in... thinking back, it took about 2500 miles before mine was ready, and I knew it was ready because it was shifting smoother and my MPG jumped about 1-1.5/gallon.

Performance wise like air intake, gears, exhaust, chips, etc. I'd give it about 3k to 5k miles. Allow the JK to break itself in before you modify. Now, exterior wise like bumpers, winch, tires/wheels I say just do it!

damn, you guys really jump into it, lol
I, for one, don't have money, nor a jk (for the time being) so I'LL personally have to wait a few months between mods just to save up the money. but I've got a lengthy list of different brand names for different parts and what not, very much researching and mentally planning exactly what I'm going to do. it'll be a culmination and a lot of hard work, and will require much patieince on my part, but the end result will be extremely pleasing to the eyes, reliable on and offroad, and won't be lacking in the pants, er, I mean under the hood, :p
