How to Secure Pistol in 2012 JK
I have a 2dr, 2012 JK with the "Lift and Fold" or "Easy Access Options" seats.
Thus the Tuffy and Bestop Pistol trays will not fit under the seat.
As I can tell, the other choices are to install a Tuffy Steel Glove Box or Tuffy Steel Console (or the steel insert one).
Any other ideas?
Thank you

Get the Tuffy Steel insert center console, then take a hard holster and affix it to drivers side, ie, bolt or screw, then your pistol is in the exact same spot every time you reach for it.

What about something like this secured somewhere in your Jeep - removable when needed:

I would use the Tuffy 2011+ console insert, and make sure you drill and use the "optional" mounting bolts to install it more securely. With the new 11-12 console insert, you can still lock the plastic lid of the factory console plus the Tuffy.

Mount a holster below your steering wheel and keep it there while you're in your Jeep. I would have to have to fumble around trying to get my handgun out of a console when I need it or even worse in a lock box...... I know laws vary from state to state but in Indiana if you have a valid LTCH you can do what I suggested.

I saw a post on here somewhere where someone had made a holder in the bottom of the center console, and had a false console bottom above it to hide it. May have been a little more difficult to access though in an emergency.

Since I don't leave mine inside without me in it I just mounted a holster inside the center console(cheap uncle mikes kydex holster). I guess a tuffy security console would work just the same with more security.
