Default How to Secure Pistol in 2012 JK

I have a 2dr, 2012 JK with the "Lift and Fold" or "Easy Access Options" seats.
Thus the Tuffy and Bestop Pistol trays will not fit under the seat.

As I can tell, the other choices are to install a Tuffy Steel Glove Box or Tuffy Steel Console (or the steel insert one).

Any other ideas?

Thank you

I have the under seat drawer now, but had a Tuffy insert in my '07 and really liked it. Not many products I would trust a firearm in.

Get the Tuffy Steel insert center console, then take a hard holster and affix it to drivers side, ie, bolt or screw, then your pistol is in the exact same spot every time you reach for it.

I have a mini gun vault under my back seat (11 JKU) that works great. The trade off is I have to move around things if I want to lower the seat.

What about something like this secured somewhere in your Jeep - removable when needed:

I would use the Tuffy 2011+ console insert, and make sure you drill and use the "optional" mounting bolts to install it more securely. With the new 11-12 console insert, you can still lock the plastic lid of the factory console plus the Tuffy.

Mount a holster below your steering wheel and keep it there while you're in your Jeep. I would have to have to fumble around trying to get my handgun out of a console when I need it or even worse in a lock box...... I know laws vary from state to state but in Indiana if you have a valid LTCH you can do what I suggested.

This is how i secure my pistol when I'm in my Jeep. It goes everywhere I do. Never fallen out on any bump or trail yet.

I saw a post on here somewhere where someone had made a holder in the bottom of the center console, and had a false console bottom above it to hide it. May have been a little more difficult to access though in an emergency.

Since I don't leave mine inside without me in it I just mounted a holster inside the center console(cheap uncle mikes kydex holster). I guess a tuffy security console would work just the same with more security.
