On this forum i bet the demographic is something like or greater than 80% (30yrs or older) to 20% (29 or younger).

I would say this is not a financially logical hobby for someone in their 20's and probably not for the average person out side of retirement at least for someone who takes trips frequently. I'm struggling to find a good build up under $3,000 (for what i want). I know i couldn't swing that on my own in my 20's.

I'm 31! bought my first JK at 30, owned my WJ Grand Cherokee for 4 years prior.

I'm 43 and my wife is ??... I'm not getting in trouble this close to Christmas!! Here is my Jeep history:

Oct 1990, 1st Jeep, 1987 Comanche long box 4X4, went places a wheeled vehicle shouldn't.

April 2006, 2nd Jeep, 2006 Liberty Renegade, soooo capable onroad and offroad, unstoppable in winter.

Sept 2011, 3rd Jeep, 2011 Sahara JKU, big shoes to fill after the Liberty, doing fine so far.

73 years old, wife is 67, we both wheel......
I must be one of the oldest in this survey. Drive an 09 JKU Rubicon, 3.5" RK lift, Bilstein shocks, front and rear steel bumpers, Warn winch, 4.88 gears, etc. etc.
Two of my wheeling buddies are 60 & 62.

Bigapplephx- 70's and you are tech savvy... That's cool. My dad is in his 50's and cannot get the hang of computers let alone forums and what they are for... I don't have a beer in front of me, otherwise I'd have a toast for ya. :-)

Got my first jeep back in July for my 60 birthday and it's my dd. Should have done it a long time ago.
