How old are you? Is JK for all ages?

Too old?
I'm 51, but I don't believe owning a vehicle is a reflection of your age. Rather, it is a reflection of your personality. I'm pretty much a "Go anywhere, do anything" type. Jeeps are fun and you can easily modify them to suit your needs / style. I don't need to go fast or have the most comfortable ride.

38 and just got my first 2015 JKU in September. It's a DD and wife and kids absolutely love it as well! First mods in transit! I've been wanting one for 20 years or better.

I'm 45 this month and been in the military since 18. My wife has a theory that our entire nation is being defended by a bunch of 13 year-old boys. Hard to defy her logic when I really listen to the conversations around me each day.
That being said, a few observations:
1) a Jeep is no different than a Corvette, a Harley or a 58 Chevy. They are all toys, even if they are our DD.
2) Seems like late 30's to 50 is the most common age range of the guys I see in Jeeps. Frankly, I think it has something to do with the age of children vs disposable income. If you're stuck in a mini-van, that simply defines your current phase of life (I loved my minivan btw).
3) Seems like the younger guys and gals have the 2 doors while us crotchety folks have the 4 doors. That's how it has been in our family, not because the 2 door is more cool, but I'm not dropping the cash on a 4 door for my girls. That is something they aspire to (and everyone wants to drive my 4 door).
