Here in Canada we get hosed on tires......The Canadian dollar is at $0.79 to your $1 US also, you have to include shipping, brokerage fees & GST (5%) government sales tax and depending on which province you live in you can add another 5-10% for PST - provincial sales taxes.
It sucks not getting deals like you US Jeepers....we get raked over the coals for aftermarket accessories.
So for example MTZ tires:
For your $240/tire
add on
$50 for the dollar difference - Total Cdn - $290/tire then add
another $20/tire shipping/tire
another $25 for brokerage fees/tire
add $12.00 for GST/tire
add $20.00 for PST in BC/tire
your tire total in Canadian Dollars: $370.00/tire, but if you shop around you can maybe get it cheaper.
So for a set of 5 tires you are looking at $1850.00 for 5 tires then you add on balancing and mounting costs and eco fees and it should ring up near $1950 to $2000 for the 5 tires in Canadian Funds.
If you want to add rims....you are looking at another $850 to $2000 depending on brand and size. $2600 is pretty good for 5 wheels/rims and tires here in Canada.

+ a couple hundred box on various goodies (floor mats, HID, aux lights....)
by now it's enough, if the economical situation come back this summer , i will add a couple more things but by now im on the standby mode

I paid $2350.00 for 5 wheels and tires last spring when the dollar was at par with the US green back. I am waiting to see as well if our Dollar rebounds....if not I may just drive across the border and get the parts installed in the US and drive back across to avoid the GST/PST and brokerage/shipping costs and make it a holiday for the family.

I'm sure I could look at the invoice to see what the per part charges were but all I know was that when it was all said and done, I paid roughly $5,800 for my lift, driveshafts and gears along with the labor to install it all.
I paid another $4400 for my tires and wheels.
Another $1600 for my front and rear bumpers + Xenons
$340 for my exhaust
$200 for my body lift
$45 for my fuel door cover
$200 for my HID KC lights
$100 for the throttle body spacer
$200 for the intake
$200 for differential covers + $30 for powdercoating
So right now in total I'm at about $13,100 all spent in the last 45 days
