Weighed mine last night at work and it was 4920. That's with a full tank of gas.


Anybody know how much more a JK Unlimited weighs to a TJ Unlimited (LJ)?

i found this in looking for weight info. Good thread.

So I weighed my 2012 JKU 4 Dr Auto
Jeep has:

Rugged Ridge XHD:
Front stubby bumper 75lbs
8500lb winch Steel Cable 85lbs
Pre Runner Guard 55lbs
XHD Rear bumper wit tire carrier 85lbs
RRC side armor 50lbs
--------------------------------
total 458lbs

18" Wheels with stock tires
3/4 Tank of gas

Custom speaker box with 10"sub and amp.

And me at 142lbs

Weighed in at 5020

I talked to Rugged ridge got weights for all the parts i have bolted on.

I also test drove and weighed a 2010 Stretched 2dr
only mods were aftermarket aluminum wheels with 35 12.50 17 KM2,
Gas light was on and I was in the Jeep total weight : 4280

Stock 2008 JK Rubicon Unlimited w/automatic transmission, gas tank half full, no occupants inside:

Scales have current calibration, accuracy within 10 lbs.

Left front tire 1200 lbs.
Right front tire 1200 lbs.
Left rear tire 1100 lbs.
Right rear tire 1100 lbs.

Front axle total 2400 lbs.
Rear axle total 2200 lbs.

Total weight 4600 lbs.

Weight distribution:

52% front
48% rear
