I think you can work 'em for invoice no matter how much lip service they give you ... mine was within $100-200 of it. Dont give up, the Rubi is worth it!

1% below invoice. Used supplier discount. Dealership made it up on the trade though. Had an '05 Equinox with a ton of electrical bugs. We didn't care, we got rid of the Equinox with trade-in equity. Nice!

Thanks guys!

Here's what I have been able to get so far for an Unlimited Rubicon 6 speed:

Dealer:

A) $1,000 over invoice, 8-10 week delivery time

B) $250 over invoice 3 month delivery time

C) $500 over invoice

D) MSRP - would not budge (still living in last years market)

E) $1500 over invoice - June delivery

F) Would not give me a quote, required that I call back and they would beat my best price by $50. I won't work with them, as I don't like how they do business. I'd rather pay exra $50 to prove a point.

These are all dealers in the San Francisco Bay Area. I am waiting on a reply from 3 more dealers. I was hoping this was going to be as easy as buying my FJ Cruiser, went to one dealer, he gave me a great deal. This was pain in the butt work! =]

I'll update when I decided on final dealer and final price.

You can get a Rubi for below invoice if you are willing to fly and drive to get it. Long Beach Jeep had over 20 Unlimited Rubi's in stock 2 weeks ago so most configurations are available. Call the sales manager Tim and tell him you are ready if the deal is right.

You may be able to find a cheap flight to come down if the deal is right for you. Jet Blue flies into Long Beach Airport which is less than a mile from the dealership. I recently saw $69 flights thru them....

I have no affiliation with them at all. I just know a couple people who have recently got great deals there!

Wow, thanks for the advice. $200 over invoice seems to be the best deal I can find. Depends on how much below to make it worth flying down, but then again, I can visit some family down there at the same time. Anyways, thanks for the advice.

All the dealerships out in the Valley (Ca.), were in bed together... They are all asking for $5K over MSRP!!!!! I got one to work with my at MSRP, but would not go lower, but then couldn't get a Rubi that we wanted (The wife wanted at least power AND Mygig in black or silver only). We ended up paying $2K over MSRP, I think we done got it stuck in us!!! We got the 5 year maintenance package, though (if that is ANY consolation). She is happy, and it is something that we will have for a long while, so hopefully that meens it is worth the extra we paid................ hopefully!!!
