I wheel all the time and don't have oba. I still air down. I usually go with somebody who does have it or I drive to the nearest gas station. I'll be getting it soon though.

Im looking at a Viar kit on Quadratec thats $370.. but with my budget and other mods I want to do, this will have to be down on the list :(

Are light/moderate trails fine to do without airing down?

I wheeled my first few times aired up, until I blew a tire because of it. You can buy a cheap 12v compressor that will work but its slow. But yes you can wheel without airing down.

I know from Walmart and most auto stores you can get the compressor from a company called slime. Google it.

MV50 air compressor is what I use. Price keeps going up though. I bought it one when they were around $50, they use to be around $25-30, now they're $80. Link to Amazon:

Fifty bucks for a 2 gallon compressor from Canadian Tire. Takes a 'lil bit to air up again, but usually recover four tires from 15 psi in about 20 mins after cooldowns. Ideal? No, but that's usually when we're sitting around talking about the run and recoveries anyway. No rush at that point!

I haven't installed my OBA yet but am looking to very soon. Deciding where to mount it and I might have to get a new muffler so the air tank will fit. Unsure at this time.

I have a PSX2 power station that I use as my compressor. It is pretty slow, but eventually gets the job done. It also has jumper cables attached and power outlets. Cost me only $70 at Costco, and it works pretty good al far!
