I have 500 miles on my new 13 and talked with my Jeep tech friend that wanted to see mine when it finally got here. He said that if you have an auto and when you rev it up between 2900 and 3000 in park and hear some noise then you have a valve that is not seating at the correct angle and then you will have to have some head work done. He did say that you have to have it in park to do this check. Supposedly all the new ones have already been reworked so that isn't supposed to be an issue anymore. Only time will tell I guess.

About 20500 miles...will be one year old next week and had 500 miles on it when I got it. Never any issues except a little valve tap after it sits overnight and the temp drops below freezing. Only does it every now and then. I'm going to switch to a better quality 5w30 oil this summer and see what happens. I'm not exactly easy on it either. ...I tend to have a heavy foot at times.
