I'm hoping the computer is as accurate as it was on my ram and liberty... I've only put about 10mi on the Jeep, but I've kept the computer around 19mpg, all but 5mi has been city, but I won't find out for another week or two until I fill it up.
Been driving like grandma upshifting at 2200, downshifting at 1200, I can live being slow if I can get 19 city consistently lol

I've been keeping track on a spreadsheet. Over 8 fill-ups I've averaged 18mpg.
Best = 18.5
Worst = 16.4
During that time I've installed:
new plugs and wires
2" front coil springs to level the Jeep
New Bushwacker Fender Flares
Goodyear Dura-Trac tires 317/70R-17's
And a Superchips FlashPaq (87 octane tune)
None of the above modifications had much effect on my mileage.
Driving habits have had the most effect on my mileage. Just by driving more conservatively I went from 16.4 to 17.8 !
I'll drive like a Grandpa also to get better mileage. Then I can have a little more money for mods!

New 2011 JKU, hhorrible MPG so far
Hi,
I'm wondering if there is some sort of break-in period for the engine?...though there wasn't with my '07 JK. Anyway just recently took delivery of my '11 JKU completely stock and so far I have only 780 kms on it. I'm only getting 20.8 to 21.2 L/100km which translates to 11.0 to 11.3 MPG...brutal !
This is my first automatic Jeep which I expected to be worse, but damn.
No one expects to drive a Wrangler and get good mileage but I think somethnig must be wrong... I have basically zero automotive knowledge so any thoughts on what the issue might be?

Not many... but the ones I do get are a whole lot of fun!!
I've never calculated and don't bother looking at the computer guestimate. I fill up when the chime tells me to.
