How long will it take
#6
Just know that the potential is there for a very long wait. Those 2008 orders placed today that wait 9+ months will be at risk of not getting built at all this model year (which ends in July). Those unfilled orders would be converted into 2009 orders, and would resume their wait when 09's production begins.
This all depends on IF things stay the same. If demand remains high, if they continue to receive more orders per day than they are able to build, if Rubicon specific parts suppliers continue to have difficulty keeping up with demand, if Chrysler doesn't add a 3rd shift, if they don't shift their production ratio to include more Sold Orders and less Dealer Inventory units...etc.

If you can not wait and plan to buy off the lot of a dealer as some are suggesting, be careful of price. The "gougers" are out there already. I ordered a 4-dr. Rubicon 06/07 with most options except that "Gig thing." I'm still waiting and plan for a 12/07 delivery if I'm lucky. I'm in Oregon and just for kicks I searched out a rig almost identical to mine from a Calif. dealer who wants over $40 K for it. I'm paying under $30 K for mine. Be careful my friend.
