Default how do you guys afford it?

I looked at two 2010 Rubi's today. 34K and 39K!!! I have a good paying job, but I just don't know how anybody can afford spending 500-700 dollars a month on a Jeep! how do you guys do it? even used JK Rubi's are still in the mid 20's around here.

Well, I bought my Sahara used for $18K with 13k miles. That said, payments are not dependant on the vehicle you buy but more on the amount you finance. Usually, if you trade-in something that's either paid off or you have equity in, or put a sizeable amount down, combined with a good price on the vehicle and other rebates and incentives, you could bring the amount you finance on the $34K or $39K rig down to where payments are more manageable. Same goes for used ones with the exception that you won't have any rebates or 0% financing offers on those.

I think this is why many people build their rigs over time. Speaking as someone who didn't get a Rubi (as much as I would have loved to) I think that is why many of us have stock X models I'm planning on keeping it stock (other than maybe 1 mod a year during Christmas time) until it is paid off. By the time it is paid off it will probably have enough scratches and wear and tear that the mods and off-roading will start at that point

Off the show room floor my unlimited X was low 20s and after trading in my previous Jeep (a ZJ with 200K miles) and selling my motorcycle (we can't stay kids forever) the actual loan over 5 years was about 17K making payments in the $300s per month.

My brand new rubi 2dr was $21k from the dealership. Perfectly fine with my ~$300/mo Rubicon. My sticker was $32k, but paid nowhere near that..

I paid less then 26 OTD for my X unlimited that only has infinity sound, tow group w 3:73 trak loc, floor mats, smoker package.

No power anythang. Don't need no stinking electric lockers or electric sway disconects to malfunction.

umm 1 testicle, 1 kidney later here we are

i got lucky with a give away, otherwise i would still be using a 2.5inch lift, and modding slowly like i am now. i try to keep mods on a need to basis. thats where the line can get blurry sometimes

I payed $25000 for my rubi. 2dr, auto, hardtop, powergroup, tinted glass and tow package. It was new with 1 mile in 2007 when I picked it up. They should deal a bit on the prices.

For one thing, we don't live in Canada. Things are cheaper in the US.

My Rubi stickered for $36 or 37k, got it out the door for under $30k with tax, tags, title fees, and everything.
