how big of a trailer can you pull with the jk?
I went from a dodge diesel dually to the jk, now I'm wondering how it will hold up pullin a 5x8 enclosed trailer? Any thoughts and experiences would be appreciated! Thanks in advance

Wow, you really went from a huge powerful dually diesel to the 3.8 JK....some major differences there in towing capability
5x8 trailer should be all good....now is it a tandeem axle 5x8 that hauls concrete around all day?....

Not sure if this is any help, but I tow an 18' SeaRay full of gas and gear, galvanized trailer with my JKU Auto. It's slow going but it gets the job done. Just don't use overdrive.

I pull a 6x10 enclosed trailer for the Scout troop all the time, even up some big hills (i.e. 3000' elevation change in 5-10 miles) without too much difficulty. The hills will certainly slow you down, but on fairly level ground you'll have no issues.

Grandma was slow, but she was old
I pull a 6X10 enclosed trailer with a 6 speed, 2 door Rubicon with a Superchip. At highway speeds 6th is useless, hills and headwinds are immediately noticable. You may have better results with a smaller frontal area. Expect less fuel mileage than your Dodge.

My four door JK does real good on the trailer. Climbs the steepest grades on I-70 at 80 mph without breaking a sweat. The 6.7 Cummins thats pulling the trailer does real good to.
