To be honest I would be terrified to embark on owning a Chrysler product without a lifetime warranty.
At work, I deal with new and used Hondas, Toyotas and Chrslers minivans in a capacity that shall remain private. I have seen too many problems with the engine and trans of today. About the same as the 08 vintage. No lifetime no deal.

I just got $19,500 for my 2010 JKU Sport S with 51k mileage and damage to the tailgate. KBB Fair trade was only $18k...
There was no warranty angle on my end because I bought it used in 2011 for $22k
I'd take it.

It has absolutely nothing to do with the ltptw and nothing to do with Chrysler. The individual dealers simply want to sell you a new vehicle and increase the used inventory. They make higher profit on used than new.

You still get 5 years 100,000 mile on the drive tran. I would then trade it before the warranty expires. I really like the new 3.6 plenty of power!

Very tempting offer.....would keep me up at night too.
Is the 08 you have now paid off? Enjoying no monthly payments? With this great trade in value put towards the new, you will still have some payment for X months.
Guess I would have to ask myself if I wanted to enter payment land again, or just continue to get my money's worth on the investment I've made. (I'm the original owner of mine)
As other post's have said re-sale value on our Wranglers is awesome...don't see that changing any time soon.
You have the 'leverage'....the dealer wants to sell you a new one, and scoop your old for used inventory to sell some one else.
