Default highest per capita JK ownership?

Hey all,

Has anybody heard of a way to find out where the highest per capita JK ownership is in the USA? I live on Cape Cod in MA and I see so many JKs around. When I travel I hardly see any. I'd like to know where the Cape ranks as far as per capita JK ownership. I thought maybe DMV or a dealership might know.

Thanks

It would be interesting, but I doubt there's a way. Chrysler may have a way to track sales by area, but they're probably not going to give us that data. Plus, where someone bought it may or may not have anything to do with where they are now--mine was originally sold in Canada but now it's with me in Utah (went to other places before me).

But I bet Utah is high up on the list too. I see JKs and JLs all over the place (and TJs and YJs etc etc). There is also the interesting phenomenon that when you own a certain vehicle you notice them more.

I am in central NJ and there are tons of wranglers around here. Every single trip I take anywhere in the area I see a bunch of them. Most of them wave. Lots of gladiators also. And yes, I wave to them also.

The auto industry did before the pandemic (not sure of now) utilize JD Power for market data compilation; those reports can identify by markets all vehicle sales by manufacturer and models. It is closely held by each auto maker and it not published to the public or dealerships.

Northern NJ as well. They cover lots of roles from crawler (rock and mall) to beater to minivan.

That article if quite interesting. Thanks for sharing. For everyone's info, the original article at the shared link above has much more info than jimjam shared above. I also found this link about Hedges & Company, which I'd never heard of before, informative ...

It surprises me that New York was top on that list. Not shocked at all by Texas being #2 cuz they are EVERYWHERE you look around here. Interesting link.

and 75% are probably mall crawlers, at least around here in east tx, i see more jeeps around here with lit up shining chassis that never get off the highway, then you see the few deer lease jeeps that never get washed unless it rains.
my bride washes mine about once or twice a year when she looks at it and says, “ I’m not going anywhere with it looking like that”
