These completely killed my hood flutter issues. Expensive, but worth it.

I had the same problem. Scared the crap outta me. Found out from this forum that its common and known as "hood hop" or "dance". I removed the spring as well. No hop now at all, even traveling 1500 miles to the Keys

The spring did not fix mine. Just made it slam louder against the fenders. I would spend the 30 bucks for the hood straps. It sucks listening and watching the hood slam up and down on your $30,000 plus Jeep. I wished I would have done it sooner.

I have the same issue with mine, the hood flutter. I was wondering if the Daystar hood wranglers made it more difficult to open/close the hood? Ultimately I think I am going with the Drake ones but $30 for a quick fix isn't too bad either.

I never had any issues until I recently installed a bug/wind deflector. Now in high wind the hood "bobbles," like no tomorrow. Scared the heck out of me but I was late to work so I just hoped the safety latch would hold. Guess I'll be investing in a new latch soon.

I used velcro strap, wrapped around the elastic latches. Never had another issue.

Cheap fix too...

I'm curious.... is there anyone else out there besides me that feels that $30,000 is enough to keep stupid shit like this from being included with you new vehicle? *now where is that dogshit smilie?*
