Hi Lift Jack question
I'm going to get one.
Where do you place the hi-lift jack on a 2dr JK that has stock bumpers when you want to change a tire?
Any photos?

Then how would you get the tire off. If you put it on an opposite wheel then you would have to lift the entire side.

Jack it up with the strap, set the axle on something solid and change the wheel if necessary.
If you get sliders you can sometimes use those for a lift.
ARB bumers have spots built in for their use.

It can be done...

That being said, if you are concerned about changing the tires the AEV base is probably better money spent.

I guess I've been under a misconception. I thought the hi-lift jack was to jack up a Jeep that was lifted or had bigger tires that make the stock sizzor jack unusable.
From what I'm reading here without sliders, different bumpers or use of jackstands or props on the axel the hi lift jack is kind of iffy for tire changing.
I have the Rugged Ridge side armor. Would that be suitable to use as a lifting point with a hi-lift?

If it is too close to the body then the jack might hit it and mess the body up. If the doors are off then you might be fine.
If you use the wheel strap to jack it up, you could also bring an adjustable frame stand and some wood to sit it on in case you were in the desert, or else use a rock or tree.
This is another reason why I like ARB, but their rear bumper has no natice tire carrier assy.
