With the dealer rebates right now, I can get a pretty well equipped Rubi for 30K Canadian. I am thinking that if I can get 20K for my 2007 X, I may trade off and get into a brand new rubi... just not sure I wanna take on the debt right now...

What to do.. what to do!

I would typically say do it, but your working in Fort Mac and I assume in the oil field. Companies are having lay offs left and right......

But weather your payment is $400 or $600 is the $200 really going to make a difference?

I assume 4 dr?

Go for it bro.

seems like you already have a pretty nice rig, are you sure you wanna spend the extra 10g's to get a rubi at this point? (if you can get 20 for yours?) you could just put that extra money into the x you have and make it just as good as the rubi....

Nah... not working in the oil patch bro. I'm the network manager for the city here in McMurray and to honest, its a pretty good gig.

I agree, I've got alot sunk into this one already... but I'm gettin' lazy and want an auto, power options and a remote start. Just spoiled driving my wifes chevy I guess. To be honest, I don't even care about the power windows.

Not sure what to do. I mean, 30 is an unbeatable price for a loaded up rubi... seeing as I paid 32 for my X back in Jan 07. Oh well, I'll keep ya posted. I may just suck it up and live with what I own. I mean, I have no payments on it right now... paid it off earlier this year.

Go for it if you really can get 20 for yours. Payments on a 10K loan aren't going to be bad and you'll have what you want.

Sell it for 20, put 15 down on the Rubi and use the other 5 to start modding the Rubi.

Lift
tire
wheels
rails
bumpers

You're not alone!

I was thinking of doing the same thing. But going from a two-door X to a Unlimited Rubicon. I'd lose a lot of money doing it (although I can afford it), but on the other hand if I add all I want to this one it will probably be close to that figure anyways.

I couldn't imagine doing it myself if I did as much modding to mine as you did though.

On the other hand.

You only live once.

Sounds like you've already got your mind made up. If everythings right in your life then do it. I got a Rubi, had to wait 3 mos. cause I ordered mine, I didn't want the dealership "you have to get this one, but if we could in that color would you?" I love mine. Check out the threads about the auto's though, I've heard power and some other questions floating about them. I have a stick so I'm not a good source for questions about it. You won't be disappointed with the Rubi. I have to say though 10 G's, you could set your X up real nice with that.........
