I know its a jeep and believe me mine has its fair share of noises. This one is the worst. Very annoying squeak sound (sounds like plastic rubbing plastic). I believe I have narrowed it down to the transmission shifter assembly on the center console. I can't pinpoint exactly whats doing it. The noise appears with ac on and off and slow and high speeds. Seems like its more common with body roll or alot of vibration from tires.Any help much appreciated guys.

 

Well figured out what the awful sound was. Turns out JKs gas tank skid likes to collect dirt and eventually when it gets hot outside the gas tank swells and the dirt forces it into the body of the jeep. Took a hose to it for about 5 minutes and emptied a few pounds of dirt. And no more squeak!
