Help! Bend in the Teraflex!
Hello everyone! So, I've recently sold my tried and true XJ after years of joy, ponied up the cash, and purchased a wrangler JK unlimited. Consequently, I left the NAXJA forum and have made my way over to the JK forums. So hello to you all!
For my first post here, I am in a little need of some technical help. I've been building the JK in the garage and recently added the Teraflex HD tire carrier. It's proven to be everything I wanted. Then, wouldn't you know it, I discover there is an accessory mount to add a CB antenna AND a rotopax gas can! Of course I had to have it.
I splurged a little at the off-road expo with a good deal and picked up the kit. I got home and ordered my locking rotopax mount and can. After waiting for what seemed like forever, they arrived the day before my next trip! I was so excited, I immediately went to the garage and mounted the rotopax mount to the Teraflex accessory mount. Living in the Inland Empire of Southern California, and with vehicle thefts an hourly occurrence, I used some red loc-tite on the rotopax mount (I know, commence screaming). I went to install the Teraflex to the carrier and noticed it was bent! The whole accessory mount is bent! I would return the accessory mount, but the rotopax mount is now essentially permanently attached to the Teraflex. Does anyone know how to bend this thing straight without jacking it up and cracking the paint?

Heat gun will do it in under 5 minutes. Watch this video: (4 minute mark, he also got a butane lighter to work too)
