not saying too hot is bad, just I have to watch my hands once it gets cranking. I guess it needs to be pretty fierce to keep you warm with the top off.

Just imagine if the air conditioner worked as well as the heater!

And I'm not complaining, my AC seems to be one of the better ones, it's just that this JK heater works even better than the one in my old 83 Toyota reg cab 4WD, now that thing had a hell of a heater too but no AC.
It's even better than my old 77 GMC Short Bed 4WD which also had terrific AC, probably my best AC ever.

The best heater/AC I remember is from the late 70's, in a 70 454 El Camino that was on a 4WD truck frame, fire (almost literally, it actually melted the plastic vent grill) from the heater, ice (literally, blow chips at you) from the AC.

It was in the 30's a few nights ago. was wearing a steel watch and had the vent blowing to towards the window. didn't realize how hot the watch was untill my wrist started to really itch. I checked it and got burnt by the zipper on my sleeve. my left wrist has a blister where the watch was. the heater is way too hot, maybe in alaska or antartica it would be just right. but i'm not complaining, it's a Jeep!

I had it checked out at the dealer today. They need to order a new heater motor, should be in by Wednesday.

My heater cranks hot air no problem. The only thing that does not seem quite right is the selector dial for where you want the flow of air does not "click" when you put it on the defrost/floor spot. Other than that minor complaint, my heater works great.
