Default Help me please!!!

Guys, I have a major question

I live in Montreal, where we also get -30C once in a while in the dead of winter.

I'm deciding between the Goodyear Wranglers on the 17s or the Bridgestone Duelers on the 18s. Are EITHER of these tires any good in ice and snow? I live in the city, but need something that will not skid out of control in moderate ice/snow.

If neither is any good, I'll get the 17s so I can afford the winter tires

Thanks
Dean

Dean, I live in around Niagara Falls/Buffalo area. I have the goodyears in 17" on my JK. We had some deeper snow a week or so ago (25-30 deg F) and i got it out and horsed it around pretty good without much trouble. I tried to make it slide quite a few times in just 2wd but the ESP kicked in and snapped me back straight. The tires seem to work ok in the snow (obviously not to great off road in anything to slippery like wet mud/leaves) they arent the best i am sure, but for what testing i could do they worked well.

Being from Montreal I am sure you know tires can change drastically with large temperature changes, but I have no clue what they will do when the temp really drops as this is the first set of wranglers i have owned.

Hopefully someone with more experience will chime in as i am curious about this as well.

I'll tell you what will hapen your tires are going to shatter. Get out now while you still can. Come down to Virginia. I'll show you how to take the top off.
