Default Hatin' on Wrangler owners?!

Its an old article I found searching for the end of the internet. Its sad how wrangler owners turned on each other in the comment section though. I've never met a bad wrangler owner but maybe I'm partial. Although, I never realized until I read the comments how many jeep owners hate on Jks. JKUs even more and JKU saharas are the worst! I guess I'll never fit in. I've owned 2 TJs in the past and I'll admit when they first came out I hated a bit but it was more jealousy. Maybe every time I pull someone out of a snow bank, I'm slowly changing the world!

Thumbs up This Ties Into The "Jeep Wave" Issue

Check the forum for all the "Jeep Wave" threads.. I've even offered my opinions on this subject..

Yep.. been there also.. and I've been there and been ban.. So this forum seems to be my last hope. You should ready see how other jeep owners viewed my comments in those forums.. quick scan of those other jeep others indicated that they were mostly cherokee or commander owners. So yes, there are divisions within the jeep world.. and like you said.. keep on keepin on..

And yet, this whole article was written by someone who says this

"If you want to off-road, fine. I happen to think it’s destructive to the environment, it’s counter-intuitive to why we even build roads in the first place, and it’s a dumbass way to spend a Saturday. But that’s me."

So why write an article on something you know actually very little of?

Default Shock Factor

Their personal view.. shock factor.. hoping to get a response.. pointing out a misnomer.. Bring into light an issue.. who knows.. Me I write as well.. and I'll admit many of my topics can be controversial.. Like my short snip-it about "Gay & Lesbian Cars of 2013". btw.. the Jeep Wrangler made the list at number 6..

I write what I've seen and not necessarily what I know.. just personal observations really. What I'm getting at.. Is I'm very thankful that I can even write after being hit head on by a car while crossing in a crosswalk.. The writing keeps me busy.

I guess that's the power of the internet. Anyone can hide behind a screen and write hate speech. That's not what really got me. I could care less what others think of me. Maybe they just don't get it. I know personally that jeep owners I hang out with care more about nature and keeping it clean then some hipster with a low emissions car. I was more shocked that people who have more in common than they think are bashing each other. No Jeep on Jeep crime people!!!

Kinda off topic of the thread, but there's a really good article in CRAWL magazine about how John Muir may have had more in common with Jeepers than the tree-huggers that typically try to associate with him.

Some people can never be happy so they take their misery out on the rest of the world.

A) I agree with what you say about shock factor. There are a lot of people out there that would rather have negative attention than no attention. Sadly, there are enough people to buy into it and satisfy their attention cravings. Hence why the Kardashians are what they are.

B) Not accusing you of anything, but why would you write about something that you DON'T know about? Isn't that just a way to exploit your ignorance in the subject? I know this sentence sounds offensive, and I'm sorry. I am just curious. I would never write an article on how stupid ice fishing is, when I've never done it in my life. I'd at least try it a few times to learn why it's stupid or learn that I was wrong about it in the first place. (I have no negative feelings towards ice fishing by the way).

C) Ouch, sorry to hear about your accident. I wish you a full and speedy recovery. Just do what Jack Johnson did and use your boredom from injury as a way to explore other passions

Default Very True

Sure I understand where your coming from and no I wouldn't write about ice fishing.. never did like fishing that's why I married a jeepgirl.. she the hunter while I'm the gatherer. I guess what I meant to say.. is that writing helps me understand what the subject matter is about and often I don't know about the topics.. In other words.. I'll not boast that I an expert in any field/s thou whats that saying:
"I know a little bit about a lot"
As for the hit and run.. I'm currently suffering with nerve damage/disorder.. and it is a constant battle to do things from day to day. One day I'm fine while the next.. well you get the picture. I'm never on a site to seek approval or simplicity.. just treat me as another jeep Wrangler owner with big ideas and that wants to be apart of a community where as other communities have shut their door on me as stated above.
