So far everyone has had good things to say about my JK, it seems to get more attention/smiles/etc. than my SRT did.
IIRC a Highlander is a FWD platform, in other words it's just a minivan disguised as an SUV/crossover so people feel kool.

My friends and family think my Jeep is THE coolest vehicle ever and they're all envious. Interestingly enough the only "haters" I encounter are on this forum and the modded Jeeps I encounter out on the road.
Apparently my crimes are:
#1 I'm female
# 2 I'm 45
#3 I'm a mom
#4 I have a Sahara
#5 I have a 4 door
#6 I don't have a lift or aftermarket wheels and tires
#7 My Jeep can be seen driving my kid to practice, parked at the grocery store or occasionally at the mall
#8 My Jeep is clean
The facts are:
#1 This is my 4th Wrangler (YJ, 2 TJ's and my JKU) and I never feel more like "me" than when I'm behind the wheel of a Jeep, top down, with a sweaty butt
#2 I drive topless EVERY DAY it's not raining or below 60 degrees - even when it's 106 and I pass modded Jeepers all zipped up with the A/C blaring (and I'm the one who waves and gets snubbed)
#3 I'm installing a love of Jeeps in my 5 year old son (who by the way is also riding topless with no A/C sweating his butt of in the back seat without complaint)
#4 Although I can appreciate the appearance and the time, effort, knowledge and money it takes to build a badass rig, I have very little time and knowledge nor do I trust someone to build my rig for fear it would become less drivable and very expensive to fix if I hated the way it handled afterward. So I err on the side of caution and only do upgrades I can perform myself (TK leveling kit, wheel spacers and rubi take-offs)
#5 I AM a "soccer mom" - for the life of me I cannot figure out why I am looked down upon for it. I am teaching my son to be a sportsman and a rugged outdoorsman (so shoot me)
#7 I hand wash my Jeep frequently because I like the way it looks all cleaned up and I think if you love something, you take care of it.
#8 I do wheel my Jeep (although much less frequently than most of you) - the fact that I do wheel does not make me NOT a soccer mom so please don't tell me because I wheel or because I am on this forum that "soccer mom, grocery getter, mall crawler" doesn't apply to me, because if I passed you on the street that's EXACTLY how you'd treat me.
