Awsome story. This is truly an addiction. You need to post some pics up in the show and tell section. Of the Jeep that is. Congrats again.

I've owned 2 Audis and 2 Cadillacs, the last of which I traded to get my first Jeep. I don't miss the cushy vehicles at all. The Jeep is so much fun. And with an open top on a warm day..............wow! Congrats! Welcome to the Forum! I hope your wife joins us too.

Holy crap. I posted this less than 24 hours ago and a slew of posts and replys. I told the wife to come in the office to read them with me and guys thanks I really feel the love. Nothing like the Audi/Cadi forums. You guys are for real and can't wait to post all the mods we have planned.

As far as mods go, funny my wife spent hours making a list off of ebay of all the things she wanted from filler cap, to freedom top covers. Another huge plus, the upgrades/mods for the jeep are not super expensive compared to the Escalade. Heck I found the chrome front end for under $300 which I think looks pretty good, when the Strut grill alone for the Escalade is $1000 and it looks something Fugly if you ask me.

The mods will start once the weather warms up and I can have a few pops while looking and admiring the jeep in the sun. Oh yeah no one tell the wife cuz she is a bit ritzy but I will give the jeep a nice mud bath with pics to follow. Take care guys/girls and be safe.

Escalades are crap. Get rid of it for a JEEP.

If you think its great in the snow, wait to ride around in the warm weather with the doors and top off. I'd like to see ur Escalade do that!!

Nice post, and congrats on the new Jeep! Beware, though: Once the mod bug hits, you can kiss a chunk of that $30K saved good-bye.
