I always do it in my wife minivan and my two and four year old always ask me who I am waving at. They never ask me in the Jeep though.

 

I'm out there waving like crazy, flapping my arms, smiling and looking like a idiot and nobody . . . nobody . . . ever. . .ever waves back. I don't care. I'll keep waving. I love my Jeep.

 

i am actually kind of frustrated about this because i wave when i am in my jeep and about 75% of the time dont get a return wave. i understand that sometimes people arent paying attention but that is an awfully high percentage of people not paying attention. i had a mini cooper s before i got my most recent jeep and every person i passed driving the mini waved. just a bit of a rant from me..

 

Not only do I do it but my girlfriend is also guilty...

this weekend she was drivin her Murano and waved at a passing Jeep...she was like "what the hell am I doing" I just laughed at her....

A little off topic but the other day I had a soccer Mom (I say this because it was in a very yuppy part of town and there were 0 mods on her Jeep) in a 4 dr wave at me first!!!!

 

I've gotten the douchebag look just about every time another Jeeper has seen me waving...and I'm in my Jeep!!

I could just see it on their faces: "Why is that douchebag waving at me? Is he gay or something?" And with the ladies: "Why is that douchebag waving at me? Is he a freak or something?"

 

I catch myself waving when I am walking into a store and a jeep drives by. The cool thing is that they wave back... its like they know I have a jeep.

 

I wave whether I'm in the jeep or not. Heck... my kid even waves at parked jeeps. I drove by a dealer the other day and she was waving like mad with both hands!
