Here are my thoughts. I work on helicopters and that looks like a simple fix. Our airframes shop would sand it down enough to make it smooth. Use some resin and fiberglass and patch the area, make sure you wrap the piece of fiberglass over the edge to make a new edge that is water tight. After it dries sand the fix smooth and paint over the fix.

I remember seeing a write up for hardtop repair. I don't remember what forum it was but I think it was this one.
Edit: Found it. I spend was to much time on this forum and i have not even ordered mine yet.

I have a MOPAR hard top carrier and i put it on the hard top prior to removing it as always, except it slipped out of the carrier and the metal "hook" was under the hard top when i put it down so all the weight was on that spot and then crack. i should of had a third person watching as i put it down to ensure the hard top was in the carrier properly. I would not say fragile but it definitely can't tolerate being dropped or even all the weight focused on a small area.

Well I've decided to sell it and get a soft top. Hard top is new except for small ding...how much is it worth? My crack looks slightly bigger than the one in the above pic. Otherwise in same spot..u must've been using that dolly on wheels cart thingy too...

I cracked mine a few months ago and after weeks of indecision I finally decided to sell it instead of fixing it. It would have cost hundreds to fix and luckily I had a soft top as well, so I installed it and have no regrets. I like the look of the hardtop better, but going topless with just a few steps is awesome, especially in Florida.
