Hard top crack fix
I have about a 1cm hairline crack in the driver side freedom top panel that I am sure is my fault from overtightening the hand screws. How do you all think I should go about this. I have glassed surf boards, and fixed boats so I am sure this could be fixed. I am not going to deal with the dealership now, I am going to treat this as a learning experience. Any ideas?

Well, these "T" tops are pancake DENSE plastic, not fibergass
I would drill a 1/16 hole (1/4" deep), from the top and just fill the hole with silicone
make the holes 1/2" away (in line) from each end of the crack and that will halt the fracture
I've used this on fiberglass and glass
These JK tops, including the hardtop are pretty soft white polyplastic
Good luck

Marine putty, got mine at Lowes, filled a 4in gash, worked like a charm. Sand a little and knead the putty together, apply putty , don't use alot it gets rock hard and you'll be sanding forever.

I know you don't want to deal with the stealership, but I just wanted to tell you that this happened to me too. I overtightened the handscrews and popped one through the passenger side panel. So after some research, I learned that Chrysler manufactured the screws too long and that the screws on the new wranglers are shorter to avoid this defective problem. I went to the stealership with my problem and they ordered me a whole new panel. I had it in three days no charge. They also replaced my handscrews with two shorter ones, but I had to ask. The dealer took the handscrews right out of a jeep she was demoing herself. Just a thought. But if not, I hope your fix works out well for you.
