My wife and I drove from basically Seattle WA to Jacksonville FL on our move across country. We drove down to Cal. and then across basically the southern route. In all it was about 3900 miles and it took about 7 days since we did do some stopping at places like the Grand Canyon and took in the scenery. My jeep was all stock, only 3 months old. Would do it all over again too.

My longest trip I take is from Des Moines, Iowa, to Missoula, Montana every fall. 1350 miles each way, and about 21 hours in the car without stopping for anything other than food and gas.

Iowa to Alaska and back in the summer of 2007.
4 adults and luggage/supplies. Almost 3 weeks total time.
8714 miles total driven.
17.78 mpg for the trip (which considering the 4 adults, the back completely filled with luggage and supplies....was damn good in my opinion)
More on the trip in the original thread.

You guys are good. All these stops and no mention of bathroom? I make my food, gas and wee breaks all at once. I take a yearly trip up to Roanoke from Ft. Lauderdale, unfortunately not in the Jeep... I sleep, my dad drives, we stop for gas, switch, and keep going. We leave around lunch and end up getting there around 6 AM. 900+ miles, and I am trying to convince him that we need to take the jeep, but his van gets better mileage.

Springfield, MO to the Rocky mountains west of Denver, All around the mountain communities, then back across I70 and up to I80 to visit my grandmother, and back down to Springfield. It was a tad over 2000 miles in a 9 days with wife and kid in the jeep with me. Soft top on and down part of the time.

Yes they will! And some 37.5/13.5/18 Mickey Thompson ATZ's. I'm a glutton for punishment. I work a 2 week on 2 week off schedule on the North Slope, so I'm going to spend my off time this summer and fall traveling around AK with my JK. I should get in about 12 weeks of travel and wheelin' time.
