My son and I put over 6K miles on it in during one three week stretch in the summer of 2007. Included stops in Sedona and Moab for a few days of wheeling. But, the longest in one day was a little over 800 miles from Albuquerque to Chula Vista (south of San Diego). Funny thing--was just talking to him yesterday about some rock climbing possibilities near the last part of that drive on U.S. 94 along the Mexican border, and he was excitedly remembering how much fun it was to drive along those winding roads in hilly terrain. Anyway, the JK drives great for long stretches--but I'm not the type who goes for cushy comfort, being more at home in a bit noisy, bumpy ride.

i drove from alabama to east texas. in my 2 door. not bad at all really, i have done it so many times. about 550 575 miles. maybe 9 hours.

i am getting ready to do it again after tax season but this time it will be with my 35s and not stock tires. should be a fun ride.

We are doing a trip in July this year from Chicago, IL to Orlando, FL to Harrisburg, PA to Cambridge, MA back to Chicago. 3,500 round trip. NOT looking forward to it, but if we are lucky the gas prices will stay at $2 for budget purposes.

We took a trip from Chicago to Orlando last summer when we paid $4.80/gal...that was not cool.

My record for complete non stop, and i mean non stop, no snack stops, no rest stops, no gas stops was when i went from here in gaithersburg, md to the outer banks. I was determined to get there asap and had no problems making it on a tank of gas. It was about 350 miles and about 5-6 hours.

now the longest trip was when i went to see my buddy in Tallahassee, FL. That was almost 900 miles. Stopped in Florence, SC as the mid-way. That was an excellent trip because i did it in december. So when i left it was 30 degree's but when i got there it was 70 degree's.

i have a road trip in the works that will take me through 34 of the states and will take 3-4 weeks to do. Its something like 12000 miles. going to be a road trip of a life time!

I drove my lifted TJ about 10 hours to pickup a hard top. But that was 5 hours there, get the top and 5 hours back. Don't have the JK lifted . . . yet.

Plano TX, to Elkhart IN, then to Milwaukee WI.

1195 Miles one way. My GF can not drive stick so I did 100% of the driving. Drove non-stop (other than gas and food).

2-door Wrangler soft-top.

Yeah... it was fun.
