I've never seen a grease that didn't have some separation. That's why I've always been careful where I hang the grease gun, and trig the spring in storage.

A google search reveals some separation is essential to proper performance of the grease.
Greases should have a "separation rating" in their data sheets.

Rates from 0.5% to 6%, with 1% to 5% being ideal, are what came up quite often.
Less than 0.5% = bad grease.

I have an electric grease gun. Is there a better way to store it to stop it from leaking? I have it lying on it's side currently.

Relieve the spring pressure on the tube. It won't stop the separation, but will reduce what is forced out.

Default Which Grease to Use

Not trying to highjack here but I am getting the 2.5in Max Travel Kit from Rock Krawler, as soon as they get around to shipping it that is. And I just assumed that I would use White Lithium grease on all the joints. I've read on their website to use a "3 in 1 lube" but I have no idea what that means.

How do you all feel about White Lithium?(comes in a spray bottle from AutoZone)

Do you think there is a better grease option for me?

Should I buy a grease gun? If so, which one?(Ive never even seen a grease gun until i just googled it. So I have ZERO knowledge of this tool.)
