Now you need to manufacture diesels in the US with a UREA system. It's an additive that reduces nitrogen oxide in exhaust. This is an added cost to manufacture plus an added cost to keep filling up UREA (although you may only need to top off the UREA ever 3-5K miles)

I'm figuring that a warranty is to be used to fix problems, and hopefully the issues will be fixed and we get back to normal, otherwise, if the issues do go on, all hell will break loose.

It seems Chrysler is strategically investing in Diesel.

I think the momentum is building for a North American Diesel, but like others have said, i will believe it when I see it.
