goodbye jeep

He did say he was getting rid of his WIFE'S Jeep. Now if I had to guess his wife hates the JK anyway. She was probably watching him type this so he had no choice but to make it look like the decision to get rid of it was purely his. Now get right back in there and tell her to wash YOUR Jeep, make a pie, and clean the damn house or something

I would say Kudos for biting reality in the buns and making the correct decision that fits the situation....
not everyone can just say "screw the MPG".. although with the Japan situation we may see gasoline prices ease a little at least for a few months...
thursday gasoline was being traded at $3.05 on the commodities market.. today it is being traded at $2.83

Real or Memorex
So you factor in the $ loss on the 2010, the cost of a (new) VW TDI, interest rates, payments, and the true savings are ? At least one Jeep is still standing against the MPG Panic of 2011...

Gas could reach $5 a gallon and I'm still not dumping my jeep. If people dump theirs I'll go get one for my son in two years!
There is a reason I bought my jeep and gas mileage was never part of the decision. If I were ever desperate enough to need something with higher mileage, I would buy an old beater that got good mileage and own two cars.
